Dear Friend,
Irrespective of your background you are blessed when you come to know Christ as your Lord and Savior. When you are born again you are born blessed. According to Ephesians chapter 1 verse 3,The God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ. God has made available for you every thing that pertains to abundant living and godliness.
From eternity past we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly place s and not on earth. This means that not even the devil can go back in time to stop your blessings. No amount of disruption in this natural world will be able to hinder those blessings. And as mentioned before ,you can only access these blessing for as long as you are connected to Christ.
Regardless of what you are dealing with , God the father chose you as qualified for the blessing before the foundations of the world. He made you have right standing with Him . Jesus redeemed you through shedding His own blood on the cross. And you have the seal of the Holy Spirit which is your guarantee that you are blessed.
There is only one thing that backs you out of enjoying the blessings and that is you. You do not have to back out! Since the blessings are spiritual blessings to start with, you need to focus on being strengthened with might in your spirit so you can be spiritually alert to hear His voice and direction ,to enable you walk in the path that leads to the blessings..Studying and obeying the word is one way to follow His leading.
Having an in-depth understanding of the following point s will help us too;
We are Chosen-God Salvaged us when were wretched ,broke and messed up because of His love and grace.
We are Sons through adoption -He purposely went after us in order for us to inherit all that He possesses.
We are accepted in the beloved-He loves us as much as He loves Jesus. And His Love towards us is forever.
We are Redeemed- Jesus paid the penalty for sin and delivered us from the devil’s wringer.
We are forgiven- He has forgiven us our sins and does not hold it against us any more.
He always forgives when we repent.
We have an abundance of wisdom & prudence-We are able to see God in everything.
We know God’s will-His Spirit confirms His will to us.
We have obtained in an inheritance.
We are sealed with the Holy Spirit.-We have the approval of the Holy Spirit.

No One Left Behind ”I am going all the way!”

It is not enough to begin well but rather ,to end well!

Dear Friend,
It is very important that we go all the way with the Lord and finish strong. Our Lord Jesus has made it clear that only those who endure to the end will receive the “well done thou good and faithful servant.” welcome. Again Jesus said ,’anyone who holds the plough and looks back is not fit for my kingdom’. In Hebrew 10:38,it is quite obvious that God finds no pleasure in those who draw back. Thus it is not enough to begin well but to finish well.

The time we live in is Characterized by deception. The devil, the author of deception has launched an all out attack on ignorant believers .Therefore be careful you do not fall prey to his dirty tricks. He creates division among the brethren by using his naïve ‘instruments ‘to peddle false accusations and also, always attempts to present thoughts that cause us to live or think cross ways with God. According to Revelations 20:10 the devil, the one who deceives and torments has been held bound and thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone where he is tormented for ever. Christ Jesus made a public show of his defeat and gave back to us power and authority over the devil in His name.

The following are some points to consider when you decide to go all the way with the Lord and finish strong .You have to first be aware of the times we live in so that you do take any thing for granted. In other words ,ensure that you walk in constant agreement with what God says so you do not fall prey to the deception and lies of the devil.
Awake out of your sleep. Be alert and fervent in the things of God. When you find out that you are not paying much attention to your walk with the Lord. Or perhaps you do not feel as enthusiastic as you used to be about church attendance and all, be sure to deal with it immediately. Release yourself from any form of spiritual sluggishness, knowing that the enemy has found an entry into your life.
You must also realize that pay day is coming. Judgment is pay day and when we use the word of God to judge our lives we will not suffer judgment. let the word of God be your guide and allow it to be the highest authority in your life.
Fourthly ,as a result of the fact that judgment is pending ,we have to do well to get things right by lining our lives exactly with what God says. We escape the bad side of judgment if we put on Jesus. He endured the suffering of the cross because He knew that the lives and destinies of billions of men and women were connected to His obedience. This is your turn to also remain faithful by enduring to the end so that destinies connected to you will not fail. Make no room for the provision of the flesh.

No One Left Behind - Transgenerational Salvation

Dear Friend,
No one left behind includes your children, grand children, nieces, nephews, and every single one of the next generation. Sometimes it is very tempting to think that our children are too young to grasp the truth. Even if we tried to reach them we limit our selves to sharing plain bible stories with no intention of bringing them to a place of understanding. God expects us to do more than that .He wants us to establish a strong foundation in their heart so that no circumstances will be able to move them from their place in Him. If we begin to look at them from the fact that they are also spirits just as we are, then we realize that, they are able to receive it. The bible confirms this fact by informing us that even the gift of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is not only reserved for adults only but children as well. Whoever believes!

As we have already mentioned, like their adults counterparts ,children will not be faithful followers of Christ if they only have mere intellectual knowledge of God. Since they are spirits it will take spiritual understanding of God to be truly converted. They must be taught systematically and consistently in a way that targets their spirit so they will know God and do exploits wherever they may be. Once they are grounded in their spirit, their lives will evidence Christ. The Lord desires every believer to be for signs and wonders. Our children must be able to believe God for themselves so they can enjoy supernatural results. Daniel and his friends were seen to be ten times better than their peers physically, intellectually, and socially because they had taken time to be grounded in God’s truth. As a result of the fact that they were grounded spiritually they remained faithful to God despite very horrifying and challenging circumstances.

How do we do this. First and foremost we must accept the fact that anything or situation that is less than the expectation from the word is unacceptable. It is the responsibility of every one to sacrifice for their children or next generation, no matter the price we have to pay. Every believer must make transfers to the next generation. We must clearly communicate who Jesus is ,what He has done through redemption and what He requires of us as believers. There should be absolute loyalty .God gives us an effective prescription that will facilitate these processes in Deuteronomy chapter 6.Which protects them from the Media influences in their generation. Every aspect of our interaction with the next generation should point them to God. I believe if we do it God’s way and not what is convenient to us, our children will enjoy great peace with God in their lives. They will not be a concern to us anymore.

God desires every one in your household to be saved. Whether they are children or adults, when they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ they will be saved.

Dear Friend,
No one left behind is the title of the sermon series for September. In the introductory remarks we learned that God does not want any man to perish. For God loved the world so much that He set a redemption plan in motion for all mankind. Any one that believes in Jesus Christ will not perish but have everlasting life. The belief is evidenced by the doing which is accepting Christ’s sacrifice for our sins and confessing Him as Lord. The bible calls that process born again. This means that you become new in your nature or spirit but your mind ,will, and emotions have to transformed and your body needs to be disciplined ,in order to conform to your new life in Christ. Irrespective of your maturity level , God expects you to share the good news of salvation to everyone. This is what is called the ministry of reconciliation. As a matter of fact, the ability to bring someone into the kingdom of God is in you when you become born again. In fourth chapter of the gospel of John, the woman the well did not hesitate to share what she had received from Jesus. She did not need to complete a bible course on soul winning before she shared the good news. She utilized the daily opportunities in her life to the fullest. All she possessed was a burning zeal of her experience with Christ. People will be attracted and convinced about the efficacy of the faithfulness of God in your life primarily ,by the enthusiasm and conviction you portray about your testimony. If it does not move you it won’t move anybody. See how the bible describes the response of her audience as immediately going to meet Jesus outside the city.

The following are relevant information you may consider when sharing your testimony ,based on lessons from the famous story of the Samaritan woman at the well. No matter how insignificant the testimony of Jesus in your life may seem to be, it still has power to touch someone’s life.

First and foremost it should have an element of urgency, just like the woman left her water pot and hurriedly went to the city to tell people about Jesus. Secondly Jesus should be the emphasis of our testimonies. What ever we share must tell what Jesus has done for us personally.

The Samaritan woman did not travel very far to share her testimony about Jesus ,she shared it with people close to the well. Those we know are prime targets of our testimony. It is important to note that whatever we share with our neighbors ,friends and family , must be relevant to their lives in such a way that it inspires them to run to Jesus for the answer to the void in their lives. Irrespective of the fact that they may be poor ,rich ,educated ,loved or unloved there is always a void in the life of a person without Jesus. God uses the void in people’s lives to draw them to Him.

There is no excuse, each one of us has a command from Jesus to go into all the world and share the good news of salvation. He has provided what we need to fulfill this task effectively. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to be witnesses everywhere we are that Jesus is Lord and that He is the answer for the world today!

One you should not do is to feel intimidated about sharing the good news with someone, the more you feel like you do not want to share is even the reason for you to do so. You may be the last person they will encounter before they die. What if you are that person today ? Will you deny your neighbor the opportunity to spend eternity with God? Think about that ,`for it is appointed onto a man once to die and after that judgment.” What people need is Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and you have God’s permission to interrupt their lives if need be ,to give them that opportunity. Be sure that NO One Is Left Behind under your watch!

Properly Placed - Placed For Paramount Performance

"We are most alive when we are doing what we were born to do" In other words ,death is evident when we cease to perform our God ordained purpose.

Dear Friend,

God has appointed every one of us to a chief place in the kingdom to be fruitful. He intended for us to be fruitful in every area of our lives for us long us we remain fitted in our rightful place and doing His will. Whenever we cease from performing our God ordained purpose we are merely existing and not living. This can be summed up in the words of Bishop Shelton Bady, "We are most alive when we are doing what we were born to do."
The hen will do better to lay eggs than to milk as a cow. On the other hand, men will do better being men than to be women .In other words you are placed where you are by God for paramount performance. We live better and enjoy life better if we stay in our God ordained place and finish our assignment. We will be blessed and fulfilled and others will be blessed by our faithfulness too.
Sometimes we become so occupied with daily rigors of the day we allow our purpose to slip into oblivion. He did not intend for us to be consumed by our needs. As a matter of fact He instructed us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the things we naturally need ,will be added automatically. Psalms 55:2 indicates that there is something more precious to pursue in life than to amass wealth. The most precious things to pursue are the things of God and to accomplish our God ordained purpose in the ordained place. Jesus came to give us life to the full
In order for us to fulfill our God ordained purpose. There is no time for retreat. He did not say we should serve our purpose until we become offended or tired. Since we are on the battle field as members in the army of the Lord, we have to gird our loins and be ready to stand till we fulfill purpose in the ordained place. We do not have to leave our place ,because someone made us upset? Which ever place God has appointed for you to fill, He makes grace available for you to be fruitful. Don’t be distracted by setbacks for they are meant for you to overcome and flourish.
Joseph knew very well of God’s faithfulness and did not give up even when he was wrongfully accused. He knew that God placed him for a paramount performance which was, to preserve the lives of many including his ‘mean’ brothers. Esther fulfilled her purpose in delivering the Jews from the hand of Haman. If she had allowed fear to grip her ,she will not have utilize the grace of God available to her to fulfill that purpose and the Jews will have faced severe challenges.
If everyone stays in their place for paramount performance, there will be growth in the body. Each one of us will participate to meet each others' needs and thereby make every one fulfilled and flourishing. All needs are not monetary. We have a need for significance, to love and to be loved. Therefore when we perform our God given function the love of God is shared abroad to every one.

Properly Placed - Love the Lord

If your heart is not in it God does not want it. You can not be properly placed if you do not love Him with all your heart!

Dear Friend,

We are the body of Christ. Each one of us is a member of the body of Christ and we are all required to play our part so that the body, as a whole will fulfill its purpose on the earth. We learned in the previous lesson that God has placed ministry gift in the body to minister to the needs of each body part so that every joint will supply for the body to grow and be effective.
The head of the body is Christ. And we are admonished in Colossians Chapter 2 not to allow holidays, traditions of men to come between us and God but to hold fast to the Head of the body which is Christ. Every part of the body is connected to the Head, from which all the parts are connected. How you feel, see, smell hear, and touch are all coordinated in the head. Therefore, from the head, every part of the body receives information and instructions on how to function. For as long as you are connected to the thoughts and plans of the head, you are in your right place and are guaranteed to function efficiently!

In John Chapter 15 ,Jesus makes it clear that He is the Vine and we are the branches. And the only way the branches will be fruitful or nourished for longevity is to remain connected to the Vine. Every branch that does not bear fruit is taken away by the Father(Vine Dresser).Every branch that bears fruit ,He prunes so that it can bear more fruit. God's ultimate desire is that you increase more and more in the area you function in the body. Pruning hurts ,so if you are not feeling its hurt from the Lord, you probably have already been plucked off because you have not been fruitful. Even though the enemy uses what we feel, see, hear and see to lure us from the Vine, we are supposed to stand our grounds in teeth-gritted determination to stick to the vine. When the flow of nourishment and help from the vine or the head is unbroken you are destined to bear much fruit. Your prayers yield results when you truly abide in God and His words. Abiding does not mean visiting once in a while it means where you live!

Loving God with everything you are is the whole essence of abiding in Him. We love Him with our spirit by spending time in fellowship with Him. We love Him with our soul by filling our thought s with His word and yielding our will and emotions to line up with the dictates of His word. We love Him with our bodies by serving him.

You cannot be properly placed unless you are in love with the Lord. When you love Him ,He flows through you. He does not have to ask anything from you, because you already know what His yearns to be done and you do it. He also loved us when we did not deserve it. And His love towards you is everlasting. His love for you is forever. It will never change no matter what you do. He is love and love never fails. He has put the same love in you, in your spirit so that your love for Him cannot fail if only you abide in Him and obey the ministry gifts He has sent your way! When you make a mistake or sin, repent and get back in fellowship like the prodigal son in Luke 15. Like the father in that story,He is waiting for you to come back into His divine order for your life. Get connected to your God ordained pastor and local church and allow Him to flow through you. It is never too late start right.

Properly Placed - Spiritual Maturity

You cannot be properly placed in the body of Christ if you are not first ,connected to a pastor in a local church.

Dear Friend,

God has called each one of us to perform specific functions in the body and also in the world. For as the body is one and has many members, ‘but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many. Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.’ And God has appointed apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers as gifts in the body. A gift is to anyone who is ready to receive. God has given them the grace for them ;
To equip us for successful Christian living
Equip us for the role each of us has to play in the body of Christ or local church
And also to make the whole body strong by making each member strong

Ministry gifts possess the grace from God to properly place the saints .Thus, when you are not first connected to a pastor in a local church you are placed in danger of not being properly placed. Those who hop from church to church are disjointed and disconnected and thus cannot be fruitful.

To be properly fitted for ministry implies change. Esther was called to be queen in a foreign land but she had to go through preparation under supervision. She had to be worked at and made to fit properly where she belonged. Someone who knew the king had to teach and train her on how to please the King. These gifted individuals, the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher fit the misfits, physically abused, spiritually dead to be ready and prepared for the Lord. These gifts are men and women just like us, but God uses imperfect people to train imperfect people to do a perfect work so that God alone will be glorified. These gifts are in earthen vessels. They are not flawless. Whether you like them or not they have what you need to be successful in life. Connect with them through the pastor assigned for your life. Your help from God is in them.
When gifted leaders know the grace of God on their lives they can build any body into spiritual maturity, becoming like Christ.
They do not assume but raise people into a belief system based on the word and not based on feelings ,traditions and the media.
They also raise us to become spiritually matured by feeding us the word so that we no longer become children tossed about by every challenge that comes our way. Therefore we become very productive and matured in loving and strengthening one another. The word of God can change our mind ,will ,and emotion so we can embrace thoughts of God and become matured in our approach towards life.

God wants us to come to maturity, however maturity will come only to those who receive the diverse ministrations of the ministry gifts He has placed in the body and become diligent in adhering to the instructions they give. When we embrace the word they preach or teach under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and become doers of it we become mature with time. And God will give us our full inheritance to enjoy here on earth ,according to Galatians chapter 4.:1-7. When we become matured, being able to love God with all our heart our soul and strength and neighbor as our selves ,then our coordinated function works together for our good.

Connect with your God ordained pastor right now and allow yourself to be properly placed in a local assembly. Yield to the workings of the Lord through these gifted individuals and let them use the grace on their lives to work on you till you become fitted in your God ordained place. Once you submit to the these gifts , the grace of God flows from them into your life to enable you to abound in every good work.

The Power of Prayer Flowing Through Forgiveness

To forgive is to set a prisoner free and you will soon discover the prisoner was you. The grace of God is available for you to forgive that person, therefore release them and so you can be free!

Dear Friend,

Living beyond your abilities connotes a life devoid of any form of natural or human limitations. We have emphasized the fact that the just shall live by faith. We said living by faith means that you are not supposed to govern your life by your physical senses of feeling, seeing, hearing ,smelling and touching. The believer is commanded to govern his life by his recreated human spirit based on the word of God.

Anytime we step out into the realm of the physical senses ,we cut short the supernatural help from God. Why? This is because that way of life does not please God only faith and obedience by His word pleases God.

Unforgiveness, therefore stems from the pressure from the dictates of the flesh. “He hurt me so
bad, I cannot forgive him because I feel the hurt or I remember how she lied about me.”
In Matthew 6,Jesus weighs in strongly the important link between forgiveness and results in prayer. Jesus probably may be saying I know you are hurting but the prayers you offering to God the father will amount to nothing if you do not forgive .He showed us an example on the cross when He chose to forgive those who maltreated Him. Do you know why it is important to forgive. Yes when you do not forgive you give the devil access into your life to steal, kill, and destroy you and your loved ones. In Matthew 18 the unforgiving servant opened himself up to the tormentors, until he was able to settle his debt. Friend Jesus paid the debt of your sins even when you did not deserve it. There are lots of people suffering from all kinds of diseases and weaknesses in their bodies because they are holding someone in their heart. Unforgiveness hinders your breakthrough.

Jesus’ response to Simon Peter’s question in Matthew chapter 18 implies that there is no limit to forgiveness. We should be ever forgiving in our attitude towards one another. Unforgiveness distracts us from focusing on the things in life that matters most –our purpose. It has the ability to drain you and suck life out of you till you are destroyed. Friend, true forgiveness does not have anything to do with how you feel. It is a decision of love from your spirit. Yes, old feelings may rise up within you and the devil will convince you that you did not forgive the person, just because you feel the pain of the hurt. You know that is a lie. And your feeling does not determine whether you are in the will of God. Be determined that you release that person permanently without any conditions attached. And trust God to help you live for the rest of your life as though they never hurt you. As you do this solely to please Him ,the power of God will cleanse the effects of the pain, and bitterness from within you.

Supernatural results through the power of prayer.

Dear Friend,
The only way to live beyond your natural abilities is to engage God in spirit and truth. This means that even though we live in our bodies, we have to live in the reality of what the word of God’s says irrespective of what the senses dictate. Prayer is one medium we utilize to bring supernatural results to bear in our lives and in the lives of others. Even though the exhibition of prayer may be seen as using only the natural faculties of man, effective prayer is born from a heart that is rich in faith because it is rooted and grounded in the word of God.

We have said time after time that God desires that each one of us walks in dominion on earth as kings and priests . However we cannot rule our world if we do not connect with God through prayer. Jesus commanded us to always pray so that we do not fall under the dictates of the limitations of natural life. If we do not pray we will always faint under the slightest pressure. Remember the bible says in the book of proverbs that when we faint in the time of challenges, it points to the fact that we have not been able to draw supernatural strength from God, therefore we faint. When we do not pray we forfeit our mercies and the strength we need. In Hebrews 4:16 we are invited to come boldly to the throne of grace so that we can obtain grace and help we need to live beyond our abilities.

Elijah affected his world supernaturally through prayer born out of faith from his heart based on his knowledge of God’s will. Years before ,it had been stated by God in Deuteronomy that whenever the people of Israel disobeyed God, the heavens was going to refuse rain on earth. Elijah believed that word in his generation and earnestly prayed with all his heart and his petition was granted. It did not rain for three years and six months. One man was able to change his environment. No matter what you are going through you can change your world if only you will confidently take God’s word back to Him. God has a sweet rest and rich place for you which can only be accessed through prayer.

God does not just answer utterances we make, He is looking to answer those things you say in prayer with faith from your heart..Those things I believe that I receive at the time of prayer is what I have. You do not need to know too many scriptures. Taking time to meditate on the scriptures is what generates the faith. When you pray;

Talk to God from your heart based on what He has already said concerning the need. Do not impress men!

When you pray do not use vain repetition, choose clarity over multitude of words and unnecessary emotional fillers.

Speaking in tongues is one sure way to let the Holy Spirit help you to pray right.
Expect results from your prayer always.

Dear Friend,
The Supernatural results from a spiritual force that is not limited to natural circumstances. The Supernatural life is controlled by spiritual law. The law of gravity in operation enables us to walk and not float in the air. What makes it to work is the force behind it. In the same way, the force of faith is what makes the supernatural manifest. This is law and it does not change because we do not understand. We need to rise up and do what it takes to get the supernatural to work. Living beyond our abilities takes faith to accomplish. It is only when you put the force of faith to work that the supernatural will manifest according to what God has said.

Faith is expressing confidence in God through your confessions and actions based on what God has said in his word, irrespective of how you feel, see, hear, smell and touch. Therefore the more understanding you have in the word of God the better your chance to live a life beyond limits. The word of God ,like God is spiritual, therefore it does not yield results when you just have an intellectual understanding of it. Your mind and your five physical senses cannot make sense of the things of God because it is not God breathed. As a born again individual the Holy spirit resides in your recreated spirit. God is spirit and He only connects with us spiritually. Our souls and our bodies were provided by God so we can connect with the physical and natural world. That is why spiritual things are foolishness to your soul and body ,unless you train them by the word. Thus in order to connect with God and receive things from God you will have to develop your spirit with the only spirit food available-the word of God, so that your spirit will be able to gain ascendancy over your mind and your physical senses.

God has the answer to all life challenges. We are not always in the position to discern or hear what He is saying. God's power is in direct relationship with His word. He assured us that He has provided us with the way of escape for every challenge. However since God is spirit He needs us to connect with through our faith saturated spirit.

Loosing is not an option. Failure is not an option. Lack or being without is not an option. He has promised us healing, financial increase, and victory but like David we need to position ourselves to discern what He is saying so we can cooperate and be in lockstep with Him. Call on Him and He will show you what to do. He is more than willing to help you but you have to come to Him boldly based on what He has said about Himself and not what your feelings or what you are going through. Dig into the word of God. Living beyond our abilities takes faith to accomplish. Faith is expressing confidence in God through your confessions and actions based on what God has said in his word, irrespective of how you feel, see, hear, smell and touch. Therefore the more understanding you have in the word of God the better your chance to live a life beyond limits. As we have already established that , giving God praise is one way to engage the supernatural in your life, because God inhabits the praises of His people. And we know that once God intervenes wonders never end.
Thanksgiving is not praise. Thanksgiving is thanking God for specific things He has done for you or the things that you believe you are expecting by faith from Him. It is entirely based on your expectation. Thanksgiving has its role.

We are required to enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise.
High Praise is exalting God with what He has said about Himself. Therefore you cannot praise God without knowing Him. Thus we need to dig into the word so we can know what He says about Himself. Your heavenly loves you so much He wants to get involved with issues you deal with. He wants to help just as He helped king Jehoshaphat by taking over to fight for you. There are some things about God you may not have experienced yet. When you offer Him high praises you set Him to do what you have never seen Him do for you before. Engage in diligent search of several exaltations of God pronounced by God Himself in scriptures.

Praise is part of our everyday lives. We praise our children when they please us, we praise employees for a job well done. Praise is something we direct towards God or something we express to others about God. Meditation is not praising God. Praise begins with a mind set on God, but those thoughts must be put into action in order to qualify as praise. Those who cross their arms and purse their lips and say ‘that is their way of praising God ‘need to understand that there is no thing such as my way of praising God. God has His way for praising Him inscribed in His word, and we need to pursue that in order for our praise to be acceptable. God has not asked us to praise Him. As a king, He has commanded us to, whether we feel like it or not. It is good to praise God and it is also for our good. We also praise Him because He loves it. We are also created to praise God. And above all, there is power in praise.

Spiritual victories are won through intercessory prayer ,the confession of God’s word, and the weapon of praise.

In Praise, we no longer attack the problem or the oppressor, we simply confess and rejoice in the lordship of Christ. When we rejoice in what he has said about himself and say it back to Him in praise, He goes to battle. When we stop trying to fight our battles and begin to praise God ,He is free to release His power and provision on our behalf.

Your praises choke life out of your enemies. If you will stand your ground based on what the word of God says about your situation, and use your mouth as a trumpet irrespective of how you feel, God responds to bring victory. You do not need to be an expert in warfare. Even children without any battle experience can win victory over the oppressor if they lift their voices in praise to God! A two fold combination of the praise of God in our mouth and the word of God in our hands is the most effective arsenal against the enemy.

My friend, God is faithful, He is not a man that He should lie. He will not change His word concerning you. You can count on Him. He is also a consuming fire so that He is quick to consume every chain and negative thing the devil brings your way, if you will let Him by offering Him high praise. He is also merciful, in that, He does not reward us according to our works but according His loving kindness. He is willing to help you chase out the seeming unbeatable circumstances and beat it. A person that praises God has ceased from their labor and have entered into rest. They live beyond their abilities because God inhabits the praises of His people.

Living beyond our abilities is the profession of every believer. This means that we live above the limitations this natural world presents. We are told several times in scriptures that we are to walk by faith and not by sight. Our five human senses are not supposed to govern us primarily .We know that faith comes by hearing and hearing , by the word of God, therefore to walk by faith means to walk in line with God’s word. In our previous discussion we talked about how important it is ,to allow your passions and life to line up with the principles of God. Now let's take a closer look at divine order, divine living, divine enablement and divine giving.

Divine Order is present in a believer whose life is strictly controlled by the word of God. In other words when the principle of God precedes everything including the believer’s passion. You have to fashion your marriage, children relationships, your attitude at home, work ,money matters according to what God’s word says only. When you put reading the horoscope ,consulting palm readers, and other occultism practices before the word of God ,you are out of order and the power of the Holy Spirit can not flow on your behalf.
Divine Living is when the Holy Spirit through our cooperation with the word of God ,births in us love,joy,peace,long suffering,kindness,goodness,faithfulness,gentleness,self control.Love will always find a way to do good to whoever may be in need, irrespective of what they had done. In short Divine Living is allowing the Holy spirit to live through you.

Divine Enablement is one of the key signals that points to the fact that the Holy Spirit is residing in you. For instance through the gift of the word of wisdom ,a believer is able to know what to do to bring about their desired future. The gifts of healing will enable you to effectively bring healing to you or the people around you. You are able to go about doing good and healing all who are oppressed by the devil because of the Holy Spirit in you. You become like Jesus on earth. No circumstances can ever limit you because greater is He that is in you than He that is in the natural realm. Your faith must be developed in all these areas so you can walk in the divine realms in life.

Divine Giving is when you are willing to sacrifice by giving according to what the Holy spirit is instructing you to give. Through the help of the Holy Spirit and His willingness to yield, Jesus was able to die for our sins.

A word of caution: None of these divine expressions will become evident in your life automatically ,except you diligently give yourself wholly to the principles of God .

Living beyond your abilities is God’s will for every believer. The moment you become born again you ceased from being limited to what pertains in this world. The bible says ,whoever is born of God overcomes the world and every thing it represents. It takes supernatural life to overcome this natural world. The very presence of the Holy Spirit inside your spirit at the time of your new birth ,make s it possible for you to live supernaturally. However there are still some few thing we need to put in place ,so far as our will and our choices are concerned ,in order for that power to flow through us. Passions, Principles and Powers are what we need to look at closely.
We all have passions. Passions are compelling emotions, strong desires, lusts; strong fondness enthusiasm for something. In short ,passion is your motivation to do something. As believers our passion is fashioned by how we yield to the fruit or passion of the Spirit ,which is love ,joy,peace,long suffering,kindness,goodness,faithfulness,gentleness and self control. These are the passions that motivate us to do what we do. Being conscious of these and renewing our minds by what word says about the affairs of this life , that is, yielding to the Holy Spirit , on a moment by moment basis will allow these forces to flow through you easily.
Principles are accepted or preferred rules of action or conduct; fundamental laws. It is only a principle when your life is governed by it.. When you have an uncompromising stance so far as that rules of conduct are concerned. You do it ,whether you feel like it or not. It is a decision of your will to do. Thank God for believers ,the Holy Spirit makes us willing to do of His good pleasure. He is very pleased when we live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Guess who the author of the word of God is-The Holy Spirit ;and thank God ,He is in you, if you are born again.
Powers are the abilities to do or act ;capabilities of doing or accomplishing something. The bible says that He gives us the power to become the sons of God and effective witnesses for him ,on this earth when we receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit..The only way you can be an effective witness for God ,with no more hell in your life ,is to lay of the supernatural from the Holy Spirit’s power. Satan and his followers know for sure and it does hurt them real good knowing that they have been defeated, however he does not want to quit. That is why we need the power of the Holy Spirit to enforce the victory Jesus won over him. This is why you and I need to position our lives in divine order so we qualify for the flow of the power we need to live beyond our abilities. We will continue next week! Have you ever come to the end of yourself , when your flesh was getting ready to blow out in frustration and despair because you could not move further in accomplishing your God given purpose? We all have the tendency to follow the directions where our human limitations take us. These inhibitions such as fear, sickness ,cultural standards ,peer pressure s and poverty can be overcome easily by engaging the power of the Holy Spirit and the word of God in intimate fellowship. So far as Jesus and what He accomplished on the cross are concerned, no weapon of hindrance is permitted to stop us from accomplishing our purpose. The devil our number one adversary was defeated and all his works were destroyed by Jesus .And the Holy Spirit in us makes us cease to mere men subject to human limitations. We have become supernatural like Jesus. The bible confirms that greater is He that is in you ,than he that is in the world. You can do all things through Christ which strengthens you.
When Paul seemingly came to the end of himself dealing with the “thorn of his flesh” from the messenger of Satan , he thought God was responsible to deal with the devil on his behalf but that was not the case. Each time he consulted with God ,God encouraged him to use the power of the Holy Spirit on the inside of him to resist the devil .God’s ability in us is always sufficient for us to withstand any opposition in our lives. After all we are expected to walk by faith and not by how we feel or what we see or what we hear .Walking with Him in fellowship or making Him a part of our moment by moment daily living , through study and obedience of His word ,gives us the understanding and confidence we need to make full use of His abilities. Fellowshipping with Him allows the Holy Spirit to help us to see what God see s and respond in the supernatural way He expects , which is contrary to the dictates of our flesh.
By faith Enoch walked with God and was taken away without experiencing death. He was so intimate and inseparable in his oneness with God ,he did not yield to death. The bible said he pleased God. He believed God, worshipped God, and lived a God conscious life on earth even when it was not very popular to do so in his time. He did not allow popular culture to determine how he related to God and did not care to be labeled ‘weird’.
Remember your Best is not good enough, because the just shall live by faith. Therefore you can do what you cannot do naturally with the power of the Holy Spirit because only supernatural results are acceptable to God.

The Just shall live by Faith because living by faith pleases God. Faith is following what God has said even when you do not see the outcome. God will always allow you to believe for something and go through the process of depending totally on what He has said ,to receive it. He want s your finances to be characterized by faith. Why is that? He wants to live above the limitation of what this world ‘s economy can provide. He wants you to live above the limitations of your paycheck. This is because the kind of life and wealth He wants you to enjoy ,is yet to be imagined by the world. Through you ,all the families of the earth must be blessed. He wants you to lend to nations and not borrow. And faith cooperates with God to get it done. Faith responds this way ;”God has said this and I am going to obey Him.”

Through out the ages God had always kept something holy for Himself. Adam and Eve chose to take what God had reserved as holy and as result of that fact they lost all that they had. Anytime we try to deny God what belongs to Him we contaminate what we have. The first tenth of our increase belongs to Him. When we pay our tithe on every increase or income we receive ,we give Him a strong indication that we trust Him as our source of livelihood. Then He is obligated to fulfill His part. God does not curse. We choose the curse when we disobey what He has instructed us to do. In Malachi chapter three, God instructs us to bring the tithes and offering to the House of God so that His system of abundance will flow unhindered towards us. And because you are a tither God will rebuke the devourer for your sake so that you can enjoy the fruit of your labor. Even if for some reason the enemy uses circumstances to swallow down your riches, still be committed to tithing and giving offering off what ever you have the ability to control. The enemy is sure to vomit out your riches back to you .

There is an abundance of Grace available to every cheerful giver. God makes His abilities and His supplies available to you for every good work. Wealth and riches remain in your home irrespective of the failing conditions around you.

No one can make it in life, living in isolation. The very mention of the Trinity indicates God is a God of Relationships. He created the earth with the sole aim of having a family, so that He can expand and lavish love and goodness on them. Even when man failed through disobedience He still worked behind the scenes, patiently, for 4000 years to redeem us back into His family through God the Son. Now, because He is not willing to leave us alone, he has sent us help for victorious living through God the Holy Spirit. Similarly, He wants us to take our relationships seriously to the point of being willing, to patiently endure to see our relationships thrive.

Relationships are supposed to bring people in with the purpose of partnering with God to get them to where they need to be. There will be peaceful relationships if everyone of us will focus our attention on preferring the others before us whilst we fulfill our God given assignment, which is to draw them closer to Him. Accept the responsibility to deliver the people around you out of hell.

The differences we find in each other which sadly lead to conflicts are supposed to be that which make us stronger and stick to each other. No one person has it all. Everyone has been created by God with worth, something that the other may need to enjoy a balanced life. Therefore instead of celebrating your strength, celebrate the other person’s strength. It is also safe to note that the other person’s so called weakness is what enables you to look stronger. Thus we all need each other. Let us therefore deal with each other with restoration in mind, even in times when we seem disappointed. Remember it does not take much to find fault in the other but it takes great effort to build people up .Be a peacemaker among your friends and family and God will be very zealous to fight for you, anytime!

Two are better than one because they have a reward for their labor, the bible says. But we cannot achieve the benefits intended for two or more if the two can not agree or live in unity. The premise upon which we agree on any issue is God’s word and not the opinions of the strong. Let’s therefore strive to maintain unity in our relationships at all times through the force of gentleness and kind words that heal.

Healing belongs to you because Jesus paid for it with the stripes on his body. Therefore you have the right to be healed. Even before Jesus died on the cross it was the utmost desire of God the father to restore healing to those who will trust Him for their healing. You were legally healed 2,000 years ago but you have to receive it by faith.

First you have to believe in your heart that Jesus’ stripes were born for you. And that He bore your sicknesses and weaknesses so you do not have to. Then confess what you believe with your mouth. As your heart , your mind and mouth agree and receive God’s provision for healing ,your healing is established. Now you begin to exhibit the healing you have received by doing what you previously could not do. Without your corresponding action the process is not complete. Even if the action of faith is as negligible as stretching your toes, take those baby steps towards the manifestation. Refuse to tolerate the symptoms ,if there are any, by confessing your healing consistently till you lay hold of it. Remember it is a fight of faith. And you must continue to use your faith even when you visit with you doctor and take your prescription medicine.

We believe that every one that came to receive their healing have been healed irrespective of how they may feel right now. What you do is to hold fast to the confession of healing over your body. Keep telling your mind you have received your healing and let your mind communicate healing to your body. Very soon you will experience the healing if you remain consistent in saying what you believe instead of how you feel. The mind plays a vital role in making the abundant life Jesus paid for through His death a reality. What your mind sees and accepts as true, determines how you live your life. As a man thinks in his heart so is he. No wonder the devil spends his time and energy hunting for our minds. Given an option he will choose to blind your mind instead of your eyes. The word of God warns us to gird the loins of our minds so we do not allow our minds to fall prey to the devils accusations and tricks. To be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. You can be born again, tongue-talking ,an ardent church member or an ardent student of the word. But if you do not exercise the authority your mouth has over your thought life by speaking the word of God ,your carnal thoughts will lead you into a life of misery. You may not be able to run away from challenges but you can certainly defeat the enemy by building up resistance against him. Do not allow him to get control over your thoughts.

We all need a daily reprogramming of our minds. We have to constantly and consistently fill our minds with the word of God so that we can disregard Satan’s tricks. We have to release the thoughts we have been nurturing for years and think on God’s thoughts. And you change those thoughts by giving voice to the word of God over the carnal thoughts.

Fear and depression are two of the many destructive weapons of the devil. A born again believer should not accept any of these in their lives. The moment you receive Christ, you receive God’s power, His love and His sound mind. This means your mind is potentially anointed to be strong. It is not fragile. You mind is not supposed to give up easily. As we continue in the word of God we embrace the love He reveals to us and fear is eliminated. Living a depressed life is contrary to the word of God. God's word commands us to rejoice always. Why... He also commands us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us. He never wants us to be anxious about life, but to make our requests known so we can enjoy the peace He brings and maintain our joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength. The strength that we need to withstand the devil any time he attacks. The sure way to maintain the joy of the Lord, is to resist and cast down every imagination that does not line up with the word of God .We have to continue to do what God’s word says about it, till our minds accept what the word says concerning those imaginations. The only successful way to cancel or root out those thoughts is to use your mouth to speak to your mind to line up. Your mind will always listen to what your mouth has to say.

No More Hell in my Spirit!

Last week we understood that God does not intend to let any man experience any form of deprivation on earth and eternal hell in the here after. He wants everyone of us to enjoy life in overflowing abundance. However Jesus made it plain that only those who receive Him as savior and Lord who have the right to enjoy what ‘eye has not seen , ear has not heard ‘or anyone has imagined. Why? Is Jesus discriminating? No. You see for as long as you live on earth you are subject to the devils harassments. The only way out is to quit being his slave by repenting of sin and renouncing sin and the lordship of the devil. Once we do this and accept the lordship of Jesus in our lives, we receive a new spirit and a new nature that has never existed before. The old things pass away and you become new. The Holy Spirit is now free to dwell in your new spirit to teach you how to enjoy God’s abundant life plan for you through obedience to God’s word.
In Ezekiel 37:4-6 we see a vivid description of the process of the new birth. The son of man prophesies or speaks to the dry bones to live and straightway the Holy Spirit in that word makes the bones live by creating spirits to carry those bones in new bodies. If we understand the creative abilities we have with help of our gracious Holy Spirit, the will of God for our lives will never be impossible to accomplish!

We see through out the scriptures ,the important role the word of God plays in God’s plans. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. All things were made by the word and without the word of God nothing was made. This means that the Holy Spirit is limited unless the word is present.. He is obligated to bring manifestations to wherever the word of God is. Thus the word of God is incorruptible, irresistible , infallible and supernatural because it carries the Holy Spirit .Therefore as we continue to abide in the word daily we give the Holy Spirit something to work with. He will guide us to please God and transform our lives from glory to glory, strength to strength ,and lead us from victory to victory in every area irrespective of the devil’s threats. Therefore we do not have to be money led, feelings led ,circumstances led, convenience led or prices led. We must be word/Spirit led in order to escape the hell experience in our lives. Then you are free to experience the light ,the life and love of God.

Receive the word of God today by believing what it says and make a decision to obey it completely. Take it personally and apply it to your life, then thank him for His intervention. Believe in your heart ,say with your mouth and do it!

If you are not pleased with the current status of your life ,family, marriage, career, friends or community , then you may be experiencing ‘hell’ in some area of your life. As you well know ,cold is the absence of heat ,darkness is the absence of light vice versa. Similarly Hell is the absence of God. Whether in a life after death situation prepared for the devil and his followers, or experiencing a miserable situation right here on earth.

According to 2 Thessalonians chapter 1,Hell is real It is a state of depravity, secluded from the presence of God and the glory of His power. Since God is love ,hell is full of hatred and stench. God is light therefore hell is a place of total spiritual darkness and confusion. God is life and hell is devoid of life but full of death.

Hell on earth is like a woman in a marriage whose husband does not love her. Terrible. Or a husband whose wife does not respect or accord him honor, or a person plagued in sickness and pain or in a financially bankrupt situation. My friend if it is not well it is hell.

There is also a literal place called hell, a state of judgment for the unrighteous. Hell was prepared originally for the devil and his cohorts. God does not desire any man to experience hell with Satan. That is why He sent Jesus to provide for us a choice of escape from hell. According to 1 peter 3:19 Jesus went to hades like everyone who dies, but He rose in power over death to offer to everyone who will receive Him, a “no more hell” life. Thus, if any man or woman, goes to the literal place called hell or hell on earth, it is their choice. Accept Jesus as Lord of your life and you will escape hell.

Hell has the same connotation as the Hebrew word Shoel and the Greek words Hades, Gehenna, Tartaroo. The very mention of these words gives us an idea of how hell looks like.
Gehenna, draws it original meaning from Gay Hinnom a valley in south Jerusalem. And Topeth was a place located in Gay Hinnom where children were sacrificed in the Old Testament days along with being the place where garbage and criminals were dumped in Jesus’ day. The putrefying stench and the howling of carnivorous animals gnashing their teeth whilst they consume human remains was a perfect description of the anguish and devastations hell represents.

Shoel and Hades refer to the same. It is the place of dwelling for the dead. This shows that hell is a place of hopelessness.

Jesus - The Definition of Love

Dear Friend,

This week’s lesson on Love is an attempt to define love by looking at Jesus. In the thirteenth chapter of the gospel of John,we see Jesus participating in the last Passover meal with His disciples before dying on the cross.Immediately after the supper He kneels down to wash the feet of His disciples. Reference His dialogue with Peter we understand that the feet washing was a spiritual indication that,they were now part of Him.Meaning that everything that belongs to him belongs to them and His nature had become their nature too. Jesus takes ownership of the welfare of His disciples and shares everything that He has with them. Love takes ownership and says you are part of me. In the same way we are all part of one big family, as believers in Christ. Your concern becomes our concern,your need becomes our need, your car becomes our car and so forth.You are my brother and my sister on my heavenly father’s side!

Love cleanses.It does not look for opportunities to point out the faults of others.Instead it looks out for opportunities to cleanse people and make them better.Jesus spoke with words that contained the ability to cleanse His hearers.He did not use derogatory statements.His words were always seasoned with grace, edification,faith and hope .You and I have the same choice to speak the word of God over people that come in contact with us,so that the life and energy in those words will wash and leave them blessed.

Like Jesus ,Love looks for opportunities to serve.By kneeling down to wash His disciples feet ,Jesus was showing us an example of how we are to serve one another.We serve one another by preferring others above us and meeting their needs.The church should therefore be full of servants who are willing to serve the hurting, dying,weak,dysfunctional,messed up,rich,illiterates and literates alike.

Love teaches.Love is light and as such does not leave you confused.It makes time to teach you till you understand so you will be able to take well informed steps in life.It says what it means and it means what it says.Love always takes the time to guide you into the truth.Parents who love their kids make the time to teach and lead them gently by example till they get it right.This process prevents chaos at home,because everyone understands what they need to do.Yelling is not the solution! It takes love to make time to do it.

Finally, Love sacrifices.Jesus showed His love towards us by laying down His life for us.When you learn to sacrifice like Jesus,God will raise you up.He will never leave you,instead He will promote you just as He did for Jesus.When you sacrifice your flesh to treat people right ,just because God says so,you will be blessed with uncommon favor.

I am quite sure by now you know the kind of love Jesus is referring to when He commands us to love God with all our hearts, souls, minds and love our neighbor as ourselves. There are three kinds of love. The one that originates from the heart, one that originates from the head and the one that originates from the hand. Specifically Jesus is referring to the love that originates from the heart which proceeds from God and is preoccupied with the things that pertain to God. That kind of love draws its strength from God and is never-ending. Thus for as long as one is securely connected to God in a moment by moment fellowship, one is sure to receive the grace to love. The love that originates from the head has ‘me’ in mind. Whatever action of love is performed must be beneficial to me. Love that originates from the hand is a response that meets a natural need.

God will never ask you to do something He will not do. The bible says He loves us with an everlasting love. His mercies towards us are new every morning and because His compassion does not fail we are not consumed. He will make sure that we are not defeated under any circumstance. The love that God has for us is that which originates from the heart. It is the kind that it is willing to extend itself even when it is inconvenient to do so. It is willing to deprive itself of things it needs, in order that it may meet the need of another. That kind of love is so strong that it has a lasting impact on its recipients. When people are confronted with the unfailing love of God every barrier, or bondage they may have are broken. Love is as strong as death. Love has the power to put death on hold by transforming weakness into strength!

The story of the prodigal son in Luke chapter 15 shows us how nothing we do can separate us from God’s love. The son left the house of his father but he did not leave the father’s heart. Everyone of us has a permanent place in the heart of God our father. No matter what you may have done you can return to Him. Before the prodigal son got to him, the father ran to kiss him and performed a feast to celebrate his return at the dismay of his older brother. You see God is interested in you coming back into fellowship than staying away because of the sins of your flesh. Once you return, He will take care of those weaknesses if you let Him. The father is more concerned about the thousands that are lost and He has been waiting patiently for them to come back.

No matter where you are in life do not let your weaknesses or challenges debar you from experiencing the ever flowing love of God. All you need to do is to let Him know you are back!

The Power of Love- Who is Going to Love Me?

Dear Friend,

Who is going to love me when I open up to love people who do not appreciate it? This is a sincere cry of uncertainty in the minds and hearts of people who are doing their best to respond in the love of God. And when they do not get the response they expect, over time they either turn to divorce from such relationships or put up with it by living as men pleasers instead of God pleasers. “Thinking that, if I perform better they are going to love me better”. My friend this kind of love we are talking about has nothing to do with the responses of others. This kind of love seeks to please God and seeks approval from God only. It is right to want to be loved, but not everyone has the capacity (especially when they are not believers) to love you the way you want. Jesus Christ did not wait for us to respond to him in love before he went to the cross to lay down his life for us. Instead He encountered harshness from the people of His day before He died. He prayed to the Father to forgive them. It was not about His ungrateful killers or the way he felt, it was about his obedience to the Father. He trusted in the love of the father by walking in love in the midst of undeserved punishment and the father kept His word and raised Him from the dead giving Him a more excellent name. God knows fully well that if you love the way He wants you to, you will become vulnerable. In the eighth chapter of the book of Romans we are seen by the world as sheep to the slaughter when we love according to God’s standards. By walking in God’s love, you release a force to work on your behalf - A force that has all the appearance of weakness, but is stronger than any force that exists. God himself has you covered! He loves you as much as He loves Jesus. I believe Jacob’s wife Leah performed her functions as a faithful wife despite her husband’s inability to show her affection. Her obedience released the open door of God’s favor towards her which made her fruitful in childbearing. Walking in offence and unforgiveness only closes the door of favor towards you.

We are accountable to God when we obey Him and walk in love. Despite the kind of people you may live or work with, your obedience to walk in God’s love is not excused by God. He has provided everything you need to be able to walk in love and provided protection for you. His angels are available to keep you from dashing your foot against the stone. Therefore, do not entertain any fear in responding to others in love, for God’s LOVE is perfect towards you. Amen.

We are delving deeper into Love. And the more we understand this mystery the more we realize that we cannot love people the way Jesus wants us to, with our own efforts. As we all know everything God requires us to do demands faith. That means you must obey irrespective of how you feel. You may decide not be bothered about this love and choose to be kind to only those who are kind to you as the world does. Yes you have a choice. But if you do not choose the path of love, the devil will take advantage of you at every turn. This is why it is very necessary to do whatever it takes, to crucify your flesh so can choose to walk in love moment by moment. You crucify your flesh by putting pressure on your flesh ,your feelings, thoughts to do what love requires you to do. And as you practice love anytime an opportunity rises, it becomes easier to do each successive time and your flesh becomes accustomed to it. You may be crying or gritting your teeth whilst showing love. Your mind may be telling you how foolish you are but as you focus your attention on pleasing God, the Holy Spirit will overshadow you with great help when you take the step!

Why do we have to love people ? Why can’t I just live by myself so I do not have to deal with all the drama people bring?

You need to know that people are the most valuable creation on earth. God created each one of us in His image and likeness. God needs each one of us to be the channel of His love to people. Every soul is worth more than all the zillions of dollars on the earth. God sees the people of the earth as a precious treasure ,that is why we were the reason for Jesus’ death on the cross. The devil is already beating down on people and telling them they are valueless. They do not need us to beat them down too but to make great investment of love in them, to add value to their lives.

Secondly how you treat your neighbor determines how you treat God! Jesus made it plain in Matthew chapter 25 when he said, “In as much as you did it to the least of my brethren you have done it to me". Thus Jesus is affected by the way we treat people and even the ones we consider ‘nobodies’.

Thirdly we are admonished in the second chapter of Philippians to look out for the interests of others too. Therefore we are not suppose to engage in only things that profits us only. We are to be the first to help our neighbor in need and as we do that God is sure to give us the desires of our heart. That is why we are at our best when we do our best for others. The joy and the rewards the Holy Spirit brings to you is a sign of His approval and that makes you better.
The favor of God is released to you when you put others first because your sacrifice is the seed for abundant power .

Unreasonable Love (Part 2)

Unreasonable Love does not flow from your mind and feelings. It flows from your spirit where God resides.

Dear Friend,
It is quite obvious that no one can naturally love the way God wants us to –unreasonable love - as inscribed in Luke chapter 6.It takes a supernatural help from God Himself for anyone who dares to obey the commandment of Love. There are lots of people in the world who have become so desensitized by constant maltreatment in relationships ,devastations of divorce, abuse ,betrayal, unfair business deals, discriminations, hurt, , loss , in a way that has robbed them of the will or ability to love or receive love. In Matthew 24:12–13 ,Jesus warns us that lawlessness will abound to such a degree that people will not have the will to love at all. In some cases it may seem justifiable not to love, but, He warns that only those who still maintain the fervency of love in spite of what they go through, will experience His help. What does this mean ? No matter what you have been through or going through Jesus expects you to still forgive and love those who are unlovable and unthankful. How do we handle this , when we are still angered or hurting ?

For instance you have tried to forgive someone and you simply could not do it. They hurt you so bad! You cried about it and asked God to help you but those old feelings of resentment just fails to go away anytime you think about them. Friend, true forgiveness, like unreasonable love , does not have anything to do with how you feel. It is a decision of love from your spirit. Yes, old feelings may rise up within you and the devil will convince you that you did not forgive the person, just because you feel the pain of the hurt. You know that is a lie. And your feeling does not determine whether you are in the will of God. You are greater than your will, mind , emotions and the desires of your flesh. You are spirit. When your spirit is strong ,you will then be able to resist that thought and refuse to focus on those old feelings every time you face that challenge. Be determined that you release that person permanently without any conditions attached. And trust God to help you live for the rest of your life as though they never hurt you. As you do this solely to please Him ,the power of God will cleanse the effects of the pain, bitterness from within you.

If you feed on the word of God moment by moment on a daily basis , then your spirit will be strong enough to lead your mind, and your flesh to place of never giving up on love. On the other hand if you feed on your appetites and feelings then your flesh will lead you in downward spiral of constant pain and defeat.

This world is in dire need of Love, pure love. Everyone needs love and as we all allow ourselves to be healed and loved by Jesus, we will be able to share this love with everyone near us. No matter how battered and hardened you find yourself ,embrace His love by answering the call to “Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest”

Unreasonable Love

Unreasonable Love has no reason to stop loving! When a person has a reason to love ,then, they will have a reason to stop!

Come aboard ! We are flying higher and higher on this flight called LOVE. Let's take you places in love you have never experienced or perhaps known before. What will you do if an old time enemy walks pass you and gives you a dirty blow on your cheeks in the presence of onlookers without a cause. I bet you will chase them around begging them to slap your other cheek too!
What,? That sounds very unreasonable .Yes it does.

But on the cross Jesus looked at His killers with a heart full of love, and prayed to God the father to forgive them. Sounds unreasonable! On one occasion Jesus travelled with His disciples through Samaria and the Samaritans will not let them enter their city, the disciples angrily pleaded with Him to let God send fire to consume them all. Yet Jesus loved them all including the woman He met at the well and did not allow racial inhibitions or any other reason hinder the flow of His love towards them. In John Chapter 13 verse 34 He commands us to be defined by that kind of love. Unreasonable love is what God has for us that is why He demonstrated His Love by stripping Himself of all he had, embracing shame when He died on the cross for us while we were still disregarding Him.

We indicated in our previous lesson, that when God commands you to do something He gives you the means to do it..

This kind of Love is not for everyone. God is Love ,therefore only those who embrace Him as Lord receive the capacity to love without reason. When a person has a reason to love they will have a reason to stop. The God kind of love is unreasonable. This means you love a person irrespective of their race, status, how they look, what they have done or how you feel. This kind of love does not reside in your mind ,feelings, or body. This Love flows from your spirit because that is where the Holy Spirit dwells. And when our spirit is alive through daily study of the word and fellowship with the Holy Spirit we receive God’s own ability to love without conditions.
The Love in your spirit expresses itself naturally.

On the other hand if you fail to build your spirit, your flesh turns to lead you. God calls operations from the flesh, lust. That is when you love someone based on what makes you feel good. Then later on when it does not feel good ,you want ‘out ‘ because you cannot take it anymore. According to 1st Corinthians 13 it is childish to be ruled by feelings. Loving people reasonably is when I will only treat you well if you treat me well. For as long as you do not hurt me I will stay with you. This is love with conditions attached and such love stems from your soul. As we grow in the word and obedience we are able to put away Childishness to become matured. Let’s read Luke 6 29-36 again and allow the Holy Spirit to help us mature into walking in unreasonable Love. Expect more next time…

Those who love God love people. And sincere love transcends feelings and circumstances, It remains the same forever!

I believe we all want our love life to be stable and strong till Jesus returns. This is possible if we will take time to build it on the solid ground of the word of God. In order for your love walk to last , amidst the storms that may arise in your relationships, you need to trace the source of your love in God and His word. Anything built apart from God and His word will not last.. If your love for someone is generally based on how you feel about them, you are headed for a disappointment in the long run, because, feelings change easily.

All the seven Love secrets outlined by Pastor find their root in God or His word. In 1 Peter 1:22 we read as we obey the word through the help of the Holy Spirit we develop sincere love for people. When you sincerely love people it does not matter how people treat you, your love for them remains the same. I do not love you because you are black or white, rich or poor. I love you irrespective of what you give or do not give

When you become saved the Holy Spirit saturates your heart with the Love of God. And as you spend time in daily study of the word ,the power to love is released from you to everyone. Thus when we become born again, we have the capacity to love indiscriminately.
Thirdly ,it is not possible to love God and hate people. According to 1 John 4 :20 you cannot receive the love of God and hate your neighbor. Since God is Love ,it is impossible to walk with love and not emit love. Whatever reason you give for not loving someone the bible refers to you as being a liar. Therefore when our hands come down after worship, we must let the same hands extend to someone in love!

Love overcomes evil.Again the bible reveals in Romans 12:21 that as believers we should not give room or justification for retaliation but to overcome every evil with good. Love is forever and evil has an expiration date. Staying on the side of love is always the right way to choose.
Love believes the best in others. This means that when we love God’s way we invest in people to bring out the best in them and not hammer them down in their weakness. Satan condemns but God gives room for repentance and change.

Love eliminates fear. When we understand the depths of God’s love and how dependable it is ,we will not fear to love. Once you trust in the unfailing nature of God’s love ,you will be free to love without reservation. That confidence assurance results from consistent fellowship with God.
Love and failure will never co-exist. love will always find a way to make someone better than they found them. love never gives up. All 7 secrets will bring hope to your Love life!

You are welcome to join us for the Power of Love series. Yes the power of love! Love has the power to transform any sorry situation into an adorable one. Love can make any person to be their best. Love can transform a cold prison into a home. Love can heal any wound or hurt. Love is God and God is Love. This love we are talking about can be distinguished from brotherly affection and romantic love. This is unconditional love which is not dependent on one’s feelings. It is love whose source is God. And to love someone from a pure heart means to release God into the situation God is Spirit and for years He has been looking for people who will take the power of Love to a love famished, hurting, dying and poverty stricken world , to transform it back into a beautiful and delight some garden of Eden.

That is why He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ into this world. To lay down His life for our total freedom so that we can be free to lay down our lives for friends, family, husbands, wives, children, neighbors, the unforgiving, unlovable and even those we call enemies. You may say, how can this be ? This is ridiculous. It sounds humanly impossible. But you see , when you accept Jesus as Lord, you cease from being just human. God comes to live inside you. Therefore you possess the love of God which makes it possible for you to love like Jesus loves, if you will just make a quality decision to do it .Remember you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you.

Jesus made it clear in John 13: 34-35 that it is a commandment to love one another; as He has loved us. By this everyone will know that we are His disciples, if we have love for one another. God will not ask us to do something without providing us the means to do it. According to scriptures, the love of God is shared abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit and we are taught by God to love.

You can know a Jew and Muslim by their lifestyles. You can distinguish between a nurse and a doctor by what they wear. In the same way Jesus wants a believer to distinguished by love. We must engaged the spiritual force called love that wants to see other people thrive. Even though loving people God’s way may seem challenging, grace is provided to those who are courageous to do so while they hurt.

Love is Kind, Love is forgiving, love does not seek itself to please but seeks to please the other person. Love is reaching out to people to ensure they are doing well. As a Christian you can love anybody because you possess Love in you . Look for opportunities to love someone fervently from a pure heart today!

When you know that you are anointed, your enemies do not triumph over you, but yield to you without further resistance.

The anointing attracts. Yes anyone who is approved of God is a sign and a wonder because God is always working through them. Remember Jesus attracted multitudes wherever He went during His earthly ministry. There are various ways God, people, the devil respond to an anointed person. Understanding these responses will help you to be effective in your walk as an anointed person.

How dos God respond? The bible says that if a man’s way pleases God then ,even his enemies will be at peace with him. He stops every thing that serves to hinder you. God also honors you by confirming the words of your mouth. As you hold fast to him in all circumstances ,He is obligated to see to it that your integrity as His representative among the people is secured. Jesus' prayers were always answered. He preached with signs and wonders following. A typical instance is when Jesus spoke peace to the storm and the disciples exclaimed that even the wind and the waves obey Him. God honored Joshua’s words by making the sun to stand still for a whole day till the people of Israel won the battle. Prophet Samuel’s words did not fall to the ground. You too, can enjoy that privilege if you will speak words or pray prayers born out of faith, for without faith it is impossible to please God!

No man shall be able to hurt or hinder you from accomplishing your assignment if you are approved or anointed of God. God vowed to Joshua that for as long as he obeys His voice ,He will be with him wherever he went ,and nothing will be able to stop him. The presence of God around an anointed person serves as a defense against any opposing forces. If God be for you who can be against you? Secondly, God teaches you the right words to speak that will make it impossible for any opponent to resist. Wherever you go people are struck in awe at the wisdom that proceeds from your mouth. Knowing how to speak a soft word that heals and turns away wrath or prevents strive. And every one will be quick to praise God because of you. Your life becomes a dragnet that will fish people into the Kingdom of God!

Your adversary, fears and flees at your resistance if you are approved. For as long as you submit to God the devil and his cohorts will flee whenever you resist them. Thus, they can not bring mess into your life. If you are not a person under authority, they know, and they will use that against you. Let's do well to live right and not let the flesh get in the way.

Once you are anointed, you become the proof that God is real. As you continue to obey His voice and do the works of Jesus, doing good and bringing souls into the kingdom of God you will continue to enjoy blessing and favor in life.

We are still talking about the Anointing of God. We have already studied in previous lessons that the anointing is the approval of God on the life of the believer who is seriously performing his or her God ordained assignment. This week we found out that no matter the onslaught of the enemy against your life you have an advantage because you are anointed of God. Whilst the enemy is waxing weaker and weaker, you are waxing stronger and stronger. We also found out that the anointing of God does not always rest on a person forever just because they were previously approved. Somehow God links the consistent flow of the anointing to following Him every step of the way towards the fulfillment of our assignments.
We learn from King Saul of Israel’s experience in 1 Samuel 15 ,that because he did not follow the step by step instructions God had commanded him concerning the utter destruction of the Amalekites, he was rejected from being King. However Saul continued to reign as king for several years, and because he did not have the approval of God to be king, he possessed positional authority and not the power to be successful. A word of caution here, when God speaks to you to perform a task ,you do not have to confer with the opinions of men. Make sure you do it exactly the way He showed you. Saul listened to the people and made a god out of them by pleasing them more than God, therefore David was approved to take his place. If God pulls one down and raises up another, the latter is always better.
Following God’s rejection of Saul, David is approved and anointed with oil by the prophet Samuel to be the next king of Israel. Years go by, battles and confrontations go by between the house of Saul and the house of David ,because Saul refused to recognize the fact that God preferred David above him. Instead of allowing his flesh to lead, David waited patiently for many years ,following God every step of the way , with the right attitude and even showed respect towards his political opponents ,till God released him to be king first, over Judah and then, the whole of Israel.
What ever you are faced with in the course of fulfilling your assignment should not distract you from being effective. What ever your assignment is, keep doing it with the right attitude and be sure to follow and obey God’s direction every step of the way to ensure victory. Like David if someone is sitting in your place of honor, house, promotion or other, for as long as you remain anointed the tide is sure to change in your favor. God will do anything for His anointed, even if it means causing your enemies to destroy themselves for your sake!

Dear Friend,
The biblical account in Matthew 3: 16-17 indicates that immediately following Jesus’ baptism, God the father expressed His approval by saying, “This is my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” That incident marked the beginning of signs and wonderful opportunities for His ministry on earth. Therefore He is our perfect example of one who is approved of God. And as such it is logical to take a look at Jesus’ life to know what to do to get the results He experienced as one approved of God.
In 2 Timothy 2 :15 we are commanded to study the word of God very consistently so that we are able to handle our assignments effectively. By studying God’s word and become diligent to obey we are sure to be approved by Him. We remember how 12 year old Jesus left His mother and , stayed in the synagogue for about three days because He was studying the word of God with the Jewish leaders and priests. Later on we see how He responds to His mom’s queries that He must do His father’s business. Like Jesus God has called each and everyone of us to do His business , that is, to study the word and put His word first place in our lives.
Approval of God is also based on what God has appointed for you to do. What is your assignment ? God is seeking for those who are performing their assignments in the way He has instructed in His word so He can show Himself strong for their sakes.
“I do not care if you get ten buckets of the anointing oil.” You will end up being oil drenched only. The anointing intensifies for your specific assignment, as you seek God with all your heart and do what He tells you to do. God has commanded us to win and disciple souls for Christ and in 2010 that is our primary focus .There fore as we obey and win souls, He will release signs of His approval in our lives. What ever your assignment is, God will release signs and opportunities to affirm and confirm its validity.
The yoke destroying and burden removing force of the anointing is available to destroy or remove any hindrance that will dare keep you away from fulfilling your assignment ,if you let Him. “You have been behind too long, now is the time to move to the forefront”. Seek God, study His word, discover your assignment and do it.. God is on your side.

Happy New Year to You! I am quite sure you are part of the group of winners who are energized to win souls and touch lives for our God more than ever in 2010.No matter what you have been through in the past year ,it is good to know that His mercies towards you are new this new year for you to make a brand new start. You can overcome that mess. You can still love that hard-hearted spouse. You can heal from that seeming difficult pain and hurt. You can forgive that person that hurt you so bad. You can overcome that temptation. You can walk in genuine love towards your neighbor. You can overcome that fear and intimidation which has prevented you from taken that step into God’s freedom and prosperity for your life. Here is why! You are the one that God has chosen and anointed with the abilities to do so.
However it is our job to keep ourselves in a place where God can anoint us with His power and abilities so that we can be effective in prospering in everything we do. Ephesians 4: 26-32 spells out how to position ourselves for a constant flow of the anointing in our lives.
We are admonished not to sin when we become angry and to get rid of anger quickly. To ensure constant flow of God’s approval , we must not give any place to the devil. We should not take anything that does not belong to us, but we must work with our hands so that we will always have something to give to anyone who has need. We should avoid corrupt words from our mouths, but only use words that are good for necessary edification, to impart grace to our hearers. And we must never grieve the Holy Spirit who is the source of the anointing. Avoid all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another for the sake of the anointed one and His anointing in our lives!
In the anchor scripture taken from 1 Samuel 16,we understand that attitudes such as a desperation for a change in a distressing situation , faithfulness in our daily responsibilities , and a genuine walk towards setting ourselves exclusively for God’s use , coupled with the fact that we are called according to His purpose , activates God’s approval
on our lives –which is His Anointing. Therefore protect the anointing and be diligent
to avoid anything that will hinder God’s approval on your life. You need it to Win in 2010!

Dear Friend, Considering how much the devil hates us and how dead set he is on destroying us, it's no wonder there is so much tragedy and disaster. This has been the pattern of humanity since Adam yielded his power and authority to the devil through his choice of disobedience toward God. As a result of this fact, we all became slaves to the devil and he used us at his will. Once sin and the devil entered, we lost our fellowship with God and became separated from Him. It is therefore impossible for us to be free from the devil’s harassments without a savior. Thus the total depravity of man helps us to appreciate and understand the work of Christ in our redemption story.

The Bible says that a day will come when the burden the devil has placed on our shoulders shall be taken away. And the yoke that has held us bound to him will also be removed from our necks and destroyed completely and forever as a result of the anointing that Christ brings to everyone who receives Him as Savior and Lord.

Yes, Christ Jesus is God the father’s answer to the sin problem. He paid the price of Adam’s disobedience through His death on the cross, so that sin will no longer separate us from God. He brought us back into fellowship with God. Therefore those of us in Christ are no longer far from God, we have become one spirit with Him. We are no longer slaves to sickness, disease, or hurts and pain because of the stripes he bore in His body. For poverty, He became poor that through His poverty we are rich. For our needs, all our needs are supplied according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. For the devil, Christ defeated him mercilessly and released us from his grip forever. Hallelujah!

Your personal revelation of Christ's work, however is what will enable you experience all these blessings and more. The mad man in Mark 5 account saw Jesus as the anointed one and without any prompting, worshipped Him. His personal revelation of Christ allowed him to experience his total deliverance from insanity. Jesus revealed in Matthew 16:19 that true revelation of Christ is revealed by God the Father alone. This means that we need to feed our spirit consistently with the word and in prayer so we can be sensitive to hear or receive revelation from the father. This is very important because our level of revelation determines our level of freedom in Christ..

In the past several weeks we have been studying on how to enjoy life at its fullest with regards to faith ,family and finances. The anchor scriptures are taken from John 10:10 and 1 Kings 5 : 4.It is very clear from these scriptures that the one adversary who steals from you, kills and destroys every aspect of life is Satan. God's intent is to give you rest on every side so there is no adversary or misfortune in your life. Wow! this is too good to be true. Sounds like a fantasy but that is God’s will for our lives. He desires for us to enjoy life at its fullest. But that path to the good life can only be attained through Jesus Christ and our total obedience to His word. No matter how well intentioned we are to have strong faith, strong family, or attain a strong financial position in life , our willingness to give the word of God first place in our lives is the determining factor to enjoying life at its fullest.

Faith is simply believing in God and acting according to that belief. Faith begins where the will of God is known. Therefore if you believe that God has saved you from sin, then you act like it. If you believe that God’s will is for you to enjoy the good life, then be diligent to be word –of- God -driven in everything you do and resist every form of setback Satan brings. You do not have to cower under bed covers moaning over pain and sicknesses. You have to stand on the word and resist sickness knowing that by His stripes you were healed. Refuse to stay depressed under a mountain of bills that are due. Instead make sure you have done the will of God by paying your tithes and giving your offerings. Then declare with joy that “I believe that my bills are paid.” As one who tithes, God rebukes the devourer for my sake and as a giver, He supplies all my needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.

Successful communication makes a successful marriage. When communication is ineffective it hurts. If you do not get your oil changed in your car on schedule , your engine may malfunction. Effective communication born out of wisdom from the word of God and prayer will facilitate peaceful relationships. Husbands, Wives, children, slow yourselves down and talk. Cultivate intimate relationships by doing things together. If you are in a relationship, It is worth fighting for it to work.

My friend, it is the perfect will of God for you to enjoy overflowing prosperity but there is a condition attached to that overflow. We see it echoed in several scriptures such as In Deuteronomy 5: 29. God reveals that when we honor Him by obeying all His commandments then it shall be well with us and our children forever. He has commanded us to pay the first tenth of our income to Him. If it is not first tenth, it is not tithe. Giving God first place is what constitutes honor. In 2 Corinthians 9 : 6-12 we are told that we will enjoy abundance if we give cheerfully and willingly.

As you continue to learn the Word of God your capacity is expanded to receive even more. Focus on the Word of God.

I am sure you may wonder why we are talking about tithing this week. Well that is because tithing is one of the ways God has chosen to be honored. Remember last week we expressed that a person will only feel honored and appreciated if you do it according to their preference. Proverbs 3 :9 and 10 does not mince words when it records that God says, honor me with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increases so that your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine. God does not want you to live from pay check to pay check, barely making ends to meet. Many people have had struggles with this seeming simple condition. They have always entertained excuses why they can not give God their time, possessions, money, and pay the tithes. The reason is simple . Satan does not want you to honor God with your possessions because he knows you will be blessed tremendously, to have dominion and influence in the world around you. He wants you to be the beggar ,begging for a bailout ,always. He does not want you to be one that lends money to nations , meet the needs of the poor or expand the influence and plans of God’s Kingdom on earth. There is so much power involved with tithing, the devil will do everything he can do to stop you from paying it. That is why the first murder ever committed on earth was committed over the tithe. Yes Cain murdered Abel because God preferred his tithe to Cain’s. Abel offered God the firstlings of his cattle. Cain offered God the last leftovers of his harvest. Adam chose to dishonor God by allowing satan to talk him into spending or eating what belonged to God. That dishonorable act, brought about the curse, toil and hardship to mankind and it took Jesus to help us get back on track. We do not want to experience any curse because of our disobedience.

I pray that you will see that your problem has never been with your pastor or the church talking too much about money. Your struggle has always been with satan who does not want you to honor the Lord. What will you give to God after paying such awesome price on the cross to free you from satan’s harassments. Remember Jesus paid the price for you, so that you can have the will to overcome every temptation of the enemy in your life . Honoring God is a choice , therefore make a quality decision to do it in Jesus Name.

Keys To Realizing God's Will For Our Family

Did you know that you can tear down your family or build it up for victory through what you say and do? Jesus made it plain, in His concluding remarks to the Sermon on the Mount when He emphasized that anyone who “hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” Vice versa.In other words when we do not obey what the word of God instructs us to do in the affairs of our lives , we place our families in a defenseless position against any challenges that may occur. It is obvious that challenges may come but a family or individual who functions based on the word of God , is guaranteed victory in any circumstances that may come up against them.

It is not enough to give yourself to the word and not be influenced by it. When you catch the spirit of the word through daily search, it drives you to pursue love, because God is love. The Holy spirit will drive you base d on the intensity of your desire to be come a doer of the word. It is unrealistic to love and praise God and be mean to family members. The same driving fore that enable s us to love God is the same that we need to be loving towards our family. There is enough power in the revelation you receive from the word to drive you to love God with all your heart and strength .In John 15 : 12 Jesus commands us to love one another as He has loved us. God is interested in how we treat people and nothing is going to work for us spiritually ,if we violate the command to love. The best place to practice walking in love is at home. If we can walk in love at home, then we can do it anywhere. It’s the place where we are most likely to be unkind and irritable, because we get close enough to others for them to rub us the wrong way. It is very important to place a demand on ourselves to be kind and patient with everyone .Apologize and make the necessary adjustments immediately you treat someone in an unloving way. One way to do this is to make a quality decision to always live according to the description of love given in I Corinthians 13..Love is patient and kind .It is not rude and self seeking. Love believes the best in every one.

Since we have no choice but to love our neighbor or the undeserving family member ,the onus falls on us to develop an interest in knowing more about them in order that we may be able to serve them at the point of their need or appreciate them appropriately. Once we have taken a good look, we will come to the point where we always want to esteem them in several of the following ways. Showering them with gifts; Speaking words of affirmation and not beating them down; Always planning to spend quality time with them ;Showing affection through hugs and appropriate gestures; Performing specific acts of service that say, ‘I care ‘.
A family member or neighbor that is genuinely appreciated or praised is more likely to be happier and apt to support and protect the interest of family with the highest enthusiasm. This is an excellent atmosphere for everyone to flourish and prosper in every arena of life. And that is God’s perfect will!

God's Will For The Family - Strong!

Yes , your family can be what you have always desired it to be. A place where every one is loved and no one lacks any good thing. A place of safety and peace, where your children are raised in the admonition of the Lord. I mean a place, as the days of heaven on earth. Wow, think about it for a second. Well, perhaps you may say this does not apply to my family because mine is so low in the lowest low it never can be built up again. I tell you, there is no situation so dead that Jesus can not raise it up again. Jesus suffered the pain of going into the depths of hell so he can take care of any situation that is so messed up. There is no sin, no matter how terrible it is, that He cannot forgive or help you to forgive.

There are several examples in scriptures where failing families were restored ,because one person purposed in their heart to see a change and cooperated with God to let it happen. The seeming feud between Jacob and Esau ,after Jacob deliberately stole his brother’s inheritance was resolved, when Jacob committed the issue to God for His intervention. Joseph decided to do it God’s way by forgiving his brothers for selling him as slave to the Ishmaelite. With men the situation with your spouse or family may seem impossible to resolve but with God it is very possible. If you will let Him. There is nothing too hard for God. No matter the pain or anger, Jesus can heal you wherever you hurt, then you too can forgive and your family can be restored. No matter what the doctors have said, you can receive power from God to conceive and bring forth a child. No matter how old you think you are, you shall never lack a marriage partner if you desire and believe God for it. This God’s perfect will for you and your family!

We want to be the one person in our families that will make the quality decision to be on God’s side in everything we do and say. One way to open the door for God’s intervention in our families is let the word of God dwell in our hearts so richly that without much ado, it becomes our guide and highest authority in life. Did you realize that our main scripture in Deuteronomy 6 indicates that the word of God should be at the fore front of our thinking always, fathers, mothers, children ,alike. No one is exempted from God’s expectation to be led by His word. His desire is for everyone to belong to a family well loved, secure and prosperous in every area of life. Make Christ the head of your Home. The unseen guest at every meal and the silent listener to every conversation. Standby for Keys to realizing a strong family next week.

This week we are studying about the most important family you will ever know on earth. Certainly not the royal family of England or the First Family in America. We are referring to the specially designed family handpicked and created through the shedding of Jesus’ blood. A family born out of God. According to Ephesians 3: 14-15 this family is named after Jesus Christ our lord. It is the Local assembly of believers from the past ,the present and future ages who have named Jesus as savior and Lord. Theocracy is the rule of the game and not democracy. God rules through the Pastor called to shepherd that local assembly. Thus, it is not like a Burger King, where you choose what you want to eat but in this family, you eat what God provides for your pastor to cook for you. I tell you the food is nourishing and easy to enjoy at the Harvest! The key to your success in this family is total obedience and submission to the leadership ordained or delegated.

As you may well know ,every entity is marked or distinguished by the purpose for which it was created. The manufacturer or creator provides the features, parts, design and resources in a manner that is suitable for the entity to fulfill its purpose. Oh wow, this week was just great! You need to get the DVDs/CDs to hear the important details our pastor shared. We understand that God's original intent is for everyone of us who desires to marry to find one who is a suitable complement to us. Once we allow God’s standard to lead us ,we will find a mate that we are physically attracted to. One that we enjoy pleasing . One who complements us in fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives. Remember no matter where you are today in your relationships, God can bring His blessing in, if you make a quality decision to change your course to follow the dictates of what His word says concerning your relationship. If you sincerely desire His help, God is willing to give you grace to live in harmony with your spouse, always. It takes consistently feeding on the word of God to provide the inner strength you need, so that your spirit and your renewed mind will lead you and not how you feel. Therefore, the seeming negative tendencies we see in each other should not “get on our “nerves” but rather be used as a means to maintain balance in the affairs of our homes. Think about that. Hmm!? God has provided all the satisfaction and fulfillment you will ever need in marriage in your spouse. It is therefore your God given responsibility to discover them, then do your part to create the right environment through obedience in the word to nourish its constant flow. Relationship building is work.

Boundaries keep us legal and safe! Therefore, enjoy the boundaries the word of God provides for you. You may say,”Oh no ! you do not understand, I am physically attracted to this other woman/man.” “I have an uncontrollable sexual appetite ,or I cannot stop indulging in pornography and masturbation.” My friend, I know you say you love God ,but these practices go against the word of God and the nature of Love and will ruin your marriage. Love does not seek to please its own. Talk openly to your spouse about your desires and be ready to yield to what the word instructs both of you to do. As a Christian you are to control your appetites and conduct yourself in a manner that is pleasing to God.

The next time you are tempted, reach out for the word. In addition, put away sexually explicit material and avoid conversations, places, or company with friends that may encourage you to fall for the temptation. Another way out is to pray in the language of the spirit regularly so you can be built up in faith and allow the Holy Spirit to grace you with self control against anger, sexual immorality or wasteful spending. You can overcome and enjoy your family!

No matter what you are faced with, let the wisdom of God guide you to do your best and expect the best always.

Prayer: Heavenly father in Jesus name help me ! I know you want me to love my spouse or loved one unconditionally. This time I’m ready to allow you to walk with me every step of the way, so I can succeed .

Understanding God's Original Intent for Marriage

Last week we emphasized on the fact that being strong in the Lord is the only way we can succeed in our relationships. God is the originator of the family, marriage and relationships. As such, the level of our success is determined by our knowledge of the originator’s manual, and how we are willing to obey. Therefore you become a strong individual in your relationships when you carefully follow the course of the instituter. In Genesis 1, every thing God created was good, He see s family life and marriage as “good”. However that goodness was corrupted through sheer disobedience. His original intent was not to put anyone in a family for hurt, betrayal, disappointment and destruction. The confusion ,pain and broken heart came with the appearance of the devil to the scene. He corrupts everything he is allowed to touch. And we allow him into our lives when we disobey God by making decisions based on the dictates of our five senses, what we see, hear, feel touch or smell. Therefore we are hurting, confused, bitter and sad about our marriage and family life because we have allowed the devil in. He always thrives when we act according to the flesh because he is a master in that area since he has been engaged in it for thousands of years! Give him no place!

My friend, in order for me to enjoy my marriage or family life, I need to take a quality decision, that no matter how I feel I am going to live what the manual for marriage instructs me to do. I'm going to work on myself to ensure that what God says about my spouse ,son, daughter, mom, dad, is what I think about always. I make God greater than the way I feel. He certainly deserves my attention more than giving in to how I feel. If you want your car to operate at optimum capacity at all times you will not deliberately send your Mercedes to Toyota to fix it. Obvious! Then why would you listen to everyone but God to fix your marriage and relationship. Whether you are single or married, selfishness always ruins us and our loved ones. Our actions ,our thoughts must be guided by love, which is what the word of God will direct you to do.

Once you have allowed the Holy Spirit and what the word of says to govern your way of doing things then you will be willing and able to please your spouse in the Lord or enter any relationship with the interest of the other person in mind. Please take a look at your marriage and relationships again and let God help you!

In the next few sessions we will be dealing with how to enjoy our family life to the fullest! No matter what we are going through in our marriage or family life, the word of God has solutions to every bugging question plaguing our lives if we will spend the time to search diligently. With the world’s greatest systems failing, and hurting every facet of world economies, many people are seeking reliable escapes. And searching for ways to build a future that will last despite what is happening .Everything is being shaken ,everything will pass away except for the word of God. Therefore it becomes obvious for any one looking for lasting satisfaction and security for the future to go in the direction of the word of God. Jesus made it clear that it is only those who hear His words and obey that will overcome the storms and uncertainties of this world. Such persons become unmovable and unshaken! Those who take the time to know God through His word and obey will become strong and do exploits. They are able to create the right atmosphere ,in spite of opposing circumstances ,for their marriages, businesses, children to thrive.

In the words of our pastor," nothing launches when the atmosphere is not right" In short strong families are made up of strong individuals. Strong businesses are made up of strong individuals. How many weak people are dressed up? How many weak people are covering up by eating in expensive restaurants, hanging around famous people, or spending hours unend at the shopping malls? That is not the solution to ease that pain they have been struggling to cover up. A strong person is willing to admit when he is wrong or needs help. A strong person is willing to face the truth –the word of God and make changes wherever necessary.

A strong person is a person who is single focused on the word of God and is willing to obey it at any cost. This is God’s prescription for becoming strong, You see what God has said ,You say what God has said and You do what God has said, even if it seem as though it does not make sense. By following this prescription you are helping to create the right atmosphere for life at its fullest in your home, business, etc.

Prayer: Heavenly father in Jesus name reveal to me the truth about my family, marriage situation in the light of your word. Teach me to always focus on doing my part and help me by your grace to strengthen the areas in my life I need to work on. Today I roll out every care I may have in my relationships to you. Amen

Dear Friend,
This week we learnt that every believer has been given the measure of faith. It is not surprising at all that this is the case, because God knows that we need faith in order to please Him , as well as to enjoy our life at its fullest here on earth. We all know that Jesus has paid the price for us to enjoy abundant life however, we have to follow God’s acceptable pathway-faith- to secure all those blessings tangibly. If this is the case, then, we tend to miss out on what God has for us when we choose not to use our faith. According to Luke 17:5-6 it is only when we use our faith that our faith will grow .When you exercise your faith in the not- so -important things of life, such as forgiving a person who spoke ill of you ,then your faith will grow to the point where you are able to receive healing for a terminal ailment.. A flabby shaped guy does not need more muscles outside of himself but only needs to regularly exercise the muscles he already has to grow his muscles.

In proverbs 4:20-24 we understand the process by which faith is developed. First, we have to pay attention to the word of God by listening attentively with our ears and reading intently with our eyes. As we consistently do this, t he word begins to take root in our heart. A conviction is established, a belief is born and faith becomes evident because what is established in our heart naturally affects our confession and our actions. At this stage it is very crucial that we guard our hearts against any doubt or fear entering our heart to contaminate the faith that has been developed. Remember Jesus clearly stated in Mark 11:23 that if you say to the mountain to go into the sea … and do not doubt in your heart you will have whatever you say.

Why do you think God wants you to live by faith? I believe the reason is to give God the glory according to Matthew 5:16. You see the higher place of affluence and influence that God has ordained for you on this earth can not be achieved easily outside of Faith. The place God wants you to be is so great you need Him to attain it. Hmm, how can I attain the position of lending to nations? It will take faith. How can I attain the position of doing greater works than what Jesus did on earth? By faith. The list goes on. However, if I am able to become diligent in seeing what God has said ,saying what God has said and doing what God has said then every one will begin to see God’s blessing on my life and give Him Glory for His faithfulness to His word!

Prayer : Father today, I make a quality decision to pay attention to your word by taking time to allow it to take root in my heart.. I receive grace to study ,listen and read your word daily in Jesus name! Amen.

Dear Friends,
If Faith is released by saying what you believe, then what you believe must be very important… Remember Jesus said, that He has come, that we should have life in it fullness till it over flow, irrespective of the devil’s attempt to steal from us. God has provided us a place of escape so we can enjoy this life, which is Faith. For as long as we stay in the arena of faith and not in our senses, we will always win over the devil. For the bible clearly says that whatever is born of God overcomes the world. If our health, family, and finances are born according to the word of God, we shall overcome any challenge that comes our way. This means that in order to operate in Faith we must believe everything the word of God says about Jesus.
What then is Faith? Simply put, Faith is “believing” in God and working or acting according to that belief.

Faith is the powerful force that causes the blessings we have in the spirit realm to move in our direction so we can experience them. In the same way as, when the appropriate physical force applied to an object will cause it to move from one place to where we desire it to be. Hmm, Cause and effect is evidenced here, thus like kinetic energy, Faith is also a law according to Romans 3:27. If it is a law, then it must work everywhere and at any time we put it to use. Again if it is a law, then irrespective of how you are feeling, you are required to apply the right rules in order to benefit from it.

Therefore in order for Faith to work, you should adhere strictly to the principles that make it work in your favor. The following summarizes how to manufacture or mix faith with the word of God, you hear concerning a specific situation, you want to change. Once you hear the specific word, masticate or chew on it for some time. So, you can meditate on it day and night, till complete digestion takes place through absorption (renewing your mind) and assimilation which is spirit and soul and body acting in line with the word.

Prayer: Father, thank you for giving me grace to mix with the word I hear in Jesus name!

Prayer for the Week: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for helping me understand that no matter how I feel or how it looks, you expect me to still “trust” you and to “never” give up saying what you have said about my circumstance. I am willing to please “you” with my Faith. Give me grace to be a diligent student of your word. Amen!

Words - The Power to change your World!

-What are you saying to yourself? It is only what you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that will come to pass.

According to Romans 10:10, it is only what you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that will come to pass. Remember, we shared previously, when we say what God has said and do not doubt in our hearts then we shall have what we say!

What are you saying to yourself? God is more interested in what you are saying when nobody is watching, because that is what you truly believe. The woman, referred to in Matthew 9:20-21, spoke what she believed in her heart. That is what attracted the power of God to direct His attention towards her for healing. During challenging times, do not quit saying what God has said, because He hastens His word to perform it. Say to yourself “I am not going to let the devil run my life. Today is my finest hour, I have never had it so good and my increase has come!”

Prayer for the Week: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for helping me understand that no matter how I feel or how it looks, You expect me to still trust You . I must never give up saying what You have said about my circumstances. I am willing to please You with my faith. Give me grace to be a diligent student of Your word. Amen!

Keep Saying What God has Said

It is the trick of the devil to make you think that your yesterday was better than today. Put pressure on your mouth! Yes it is better today-keep saying what God has Said!

What an amazing five weeks we have had together! And we give God the glory. Before we go any further please invest money and time in all the CDs and DVDs on Pastor’s message ‘Words'. Listen or watch them over and over again till the lessons become your personal belief or persuasion, that way when you are faced with a challenge you will know how to easily and effectively use the knowledge you have acquired to overcome victoriously every time at any place.
Have you ever wondered, “Oh Lord when am I going to experience what I have been saying for all these weeks? Hmm, I think this ‘saying what God has said’ business does not work for me. But wait a minute, before you consider quitting, let's turn our bibles to Ezekiel chapter 12:21-28.The nation of Israel had given up trust in the ability of the word of God to perform." It is taken too long", they thought. You may also be thinking I have said all I can say and it does not seem to work. I do not think I’m going to get healed” or “I do not think I am going to get that job “ From the scripture we just read, we learn that God does not want us to give up but to keep speaking what He has said because He is looking to reward your faith. He is looking to find faith in your heart. Ezekiel pleased God when he exercised his faith by continuing to speak what God had said, so, God performed His word without delay. He is looking to see whether you did a good job spending time in His word for faith to be born.
Jesus said there is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed. When squeezed, a sponge soaked in water will release water. Under pressure what you have spent quality time in will show up. The earlier we take this serious the better for us because God is not is not ready to change His mind about we saying what He has said. In fact in Ecclesiastes 7:10 He vehemently considers it unwise for us to say there was a better Yesterday than today. This means that He expects you to keep saying what He has said even if it seems the contrary. That pleases Him because He appreciate the fact that you trust Him more than what you see or feel. You have to learn to train your feelings on how it should feel instead of letting your feelings tell you how to believe. It's all about trusting God and sticking with him to the end. There is an end to all the challenges you face and your expectation in Him will not fail.

Where your words go when you say what God has said.

The devil is always confessing his lies over your life, counteract them fiercely by confessing always what God has said about your life!

Revelation 12:10-11 (New King James Version)

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

“… For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”

Dear Friend,
Last week we learned that we all have to make a quality decision to win the battle against distraction or laziness, so that we can spend quality time in the word of God till our hearts begin to see what God is saying about our lives. Until our hearts see it we cannot say it consistently in the face of opposition. This is because the only way our confession is going to yield results is when it is born out of believing. According to 2 Corinthians 4:13 we automatically speak what we believe. Why is this so important? Well, you know the devil is going to continue to bombard you with thoughts of despair till you become weary and say words of death and failure about your life. Our scripture reference in the book of Revelation tells us of how the devil is relentless in his pursuit to wear us down with his lies. You need to develop an inner strength or resistance mechanism in you to resist him all the time by consistently confessing the truth of God’s word. The reason why you are not resisting the devil fiercely in your life is because you are not seeing clearly what God is saying. Your view is distorted by the noise from contrary voices. Once you see clearly, you will fight for what you see. Jesus Christ endured the cross because he saw the joy set before him. Until we are convinced in our hearts ,the slightest opposition will push us to change our confession of God’s word.How then do I gain the inner strength to consistently speak the truth of God’s word irrespective of satan’s onslaught? First, you should not allow any guilt from a sin you have committed to keep you bound and weak. Jesus paid for all that when he shed His blood for you and me. The blood of Jesus, our advocate still speaks mercy over us all. As soon as we repent and confess we become free. Knowing this will give you the boldness you need to stand up against the devil and not cowardly give in.

Another effective way is to guard your thoughts by allowing only thoughts that line up with the word of God, such as thoughts that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of a good report , full of virtue and praise worthy (Phil 4:8). My friend, if you become diligent in this exercise, by giving no place to any contrary thought pattern, you are on your way to victory. Start it today!

Prayer for the Week: Father in the name of Jesus thank you for providing victory for me through the blood of Jesus. I thank you that the Holy Spirit is my help. I make a quality decision to pay closer attention to what I allow to fill my thought life. I will think on things that line up with your word, I know I can do it because you are always there to help. Amen

Dear Friend,

You may ask, “How can I see what God is saying when my life is totally experiencing a downward spiral?”

We all have to make a quality decision to spend quality time in the word of God until our hearts begin to see what God has said about our health, life ,finances, etc. God has spoken in His word concerning every area of our lives. Until our hearts see it, we cannot receive it in our lives.

Remember we learned from a previous lesson that the #1 weapon of the devil against God’s people is ignorance, that is, our inability to see what God has said concerning our situation. The devil’s strategy is to sidetrack us so that we do not pay serious attention to God’s word in order to see what He has said. We must focus intently on the word of God concerning our situations. This will allow us to hold fast, never doubting; and will empower us to wage a good warfare based on what we have seen in the word. (1 Timothy 1:18.)

Of great importance, the Holy Spirit is the one who opens our ears to hear and our eyes to see what God is saying. Without Him we can never see, no matter how we try. We need the Holy Spirit to bring understanding in our study of the word.

Prayer for the Week: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for showing me that until I see what you are saying I cannot say what you say about my situation. I yield my leisure time to you so you can help me focus on what matters. I make a quality decision to mute any distracting voices in my life so I can hear you clearly till I see what you are saying. I will never doubt you and therefore I will receive what ever you say about my life. Amen.

Change has Come To You!

But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved." Matthew 9:16-17

Dear Friend,

I’m quite sure everyone of us have greatly desired a very progressive change in our lives.. In our relationships, finances, status in life, career, health or even our daily walk with Jesus our Lord. God let’s us know He desires that for us too in Jeremiah 29:11.The perfect change only comes from God. And since God is spirit ,He first brings the Change and everything we need to experience that change in our spirit. Therefore we have to do what is required for our spirit to be strong enough to lead our mind and body to experience that change. According to the passage above, if we do not know how to respond to change ,we will loose out on the benefits it may bring to you. What if your pre-k son refuses to attend his new kindergarten class because he is used to being in his pre-k class ?Change will not benefit us if we refuse to take the responsibility to do what it takes to experience that desired change.
I do not know what you are going through but I do know God has a perfect way of escape for you in that depressing situation. His way out for you is first for you to take time to look for His way of escape in the word of God. Once you find out the way of escape and what it takes to get there, then humbly accept only what God says about you and the situation till your mind is renewed in agreement with what He says. Once you take authority to do what He says to do, expect nothing else but the good, God promises. Stay your ground, and never faint. And while you wait for the manifestation of your change, do well to be kind to your church, family and neighbors by meeting their needs as may be made known to you. Remember, what ever you make happen for others God will make happen for you !We always reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7)
Prayer for the Week: Father in the name of Jesus thank you for making available a perfect change and way of escape for (name the situation)….Please show me the way of change and give me grace to stick to the instructions you give to me through your word and my pastor so I can experience the wonderful change you have for me. I believe my change has finally come. Amen………

Dear Friend,

As a child of God, you have been created in His image and likeness, which means you are created to do things like your father God (Ephesians 5:1). From the very first chapter of Genesis we read how God said what He wanted to occur and it was so. Each time He said it was good, why?, because what He saw agreed with what He had in His thought before He spoke. My friend, God framed this whole world by His words. You can also frame your world by what He has told you by confessing in agreement with Him consistently till you experience your change. If you see what God has said and consistently say and do what He had said then you can experience the good life Jesus has freely given to you to enjoy!

You cannot say what you do not see. What do you see? A life beaten down, hurt, broke and disgusted? No, No No, lets close the chapter of our lives where we see only what is contrary to What God Has said. It is very important to speak God’s words and not your own words. God's word is His divine expression. His word is an extension of Himself. It contains the power,life,light and love you need to fight off every opposition and still enable you to enjoy the blessed life and be a blessing. God's word is so powerful to the extent that this vast world of ours is being held together by the word of his power. Therefore when you spend time in prayer and in His word and you do not quit till the Holy Spirit helps you to see what He says you will never be consistent in saying God’s word. So what are we to do, lets begin to shut down all the distractions in our lives and focus on what God is saying about our situation ,till we see it .Remember your life is good when it meets the expectation of the thoughts of God. God will always make you do things that will require you to depend on Him. He will not give you an assignment that will make Him irrelevant! Some of us will say, Oh God I can’t love my wife, my husband, I can’t forgive, I can’t do this I can't do that. Those excuses should not hinder you, as He did for Jeremiah, He will provide for you wherever your deficit is. please read Jeremiah 1:5-19.

Prayer for the Week: Father in the name of Jesus thank you for showing me that you have given me power to bring your perfect plan to pass in my situation through speaking of your word. Please show me what you are saying about my situation and help me to see it. I receive grace to wait on you in prayer and in your word till I am able to clearly see it, speak it and do it without much ado .Amen.
